All Things Audio v.tfc3

This PC software suite contains NO embedded adware, spyware or intrusive code but it does include 44 "time tested" audio tools that will help you easily perform most any audio related enhancement or task.

Since this software includes most all our popular audio type apps, that we have developed in the past few years, it is the only app that we are supporting except "exclusive software" that is still available to "The Code-it Posse" membership.

If you are a past user of any of our software - please do an uninstall then download and install this new suite of software.

Is currently being offered as "pay what you want or not at all".

The startup screen acts as a portal for activation of the separate software apps.

Use this software to perform these functions and to easily solve your other audio tasks:

  • Record streaming audio, such as the audio from Youtube videos: if you can hear it - you can record it without any soundcard configuration or special drivers - it just works!

    • Build up your music library easily and legally - get the 'oldies', are even the new stuff if you must;-) that are hard to find - never pay a cent for any music title again! Put your recordings on your PC, burn to CD, or transfer to any devise that will play'em.

  • Record speeches, lectures, sermons, events, etc...

    • Archive for future listening or publish on the iNet to share with the public.

  • Record and create new audio content, via your voice (microphone), for sending by eMail - audio eMail, publishing on the web for public or private listening.

    • Creating audio eMail may be a little more work but it is way more personal and effective to get your message across. Plain ole eMail is commonly misunderstood.

  • Easily split a recording (or master audio track) into separate tracks (i.e. chop a recorded music album into individual song tracks, etc...)

  • No hassle conversion of text content to audio: great for folks that are low sighted or want to create their own audio ebooks.

    • There are thousands of old classic books available on the iNet (i.e. gutenberg.org) as plain text files - edit the text then convert to audio easily - even add your own comments within.

  • Edit audio: remove annoying applause, remove silence, filter out static noise, create mixed audio content, add 'bumper' music to the front and/ or end of a recording, add any of the array of 'effects' (i.e. reverb, equalized values, fade in/ out, add or subtract volume, remove clicks and hiss, etc...).

    • Make audio files sound YOUR WAY!

  • Needle to Digital! Converting vinyl records, or cassettes, to digital audio is easier then you might think.

    • Be sure to keep this new talent to do this (vinyl to digital conversion) a secret from your neighbors - cuz you'll be flooded with requests to convert all their vinyl too! Or maybe be "the coolest kid on the block" - or start a new biz - by offering this task as a service for free or pay.

  • Make managing your audio files more effective by adding or editing the ID tags (including cover art) to any audio format (i.e. mp3) that supports this function.

  • And MUCH. MUCH MORE!

ID Tag Magic:

tagger_v3.png (160954 bytes)

This software is an easy solution for correcting several problems, that most of us encounter, when we have ton's of audio files on our computer system.
The problems this software will help you solve:

  • Use the "Find Duplicates Mode" scan to search your system for duplicate MP3 and/ or WMA audio files: Gives you the option to rename or delete duplicate files.

    • Duplicate files are a real pain in the neck. They accumulate on your hard drive with you none the wiser, waste disk space and make you confused when you can't tell which is which. Worse still, they can slow down your computer and make tasks like disk defrag and virus scans take ages. This is why deleting duplicate files, while a little time consuming, is a must.

  • Having ID tags embedded within your MP3 and WMA audio files just makes playing and managing your audio files more efficient and pleasant. This software has several advanced features that will make this task a lot easier - they are:.

    • Use the "Set ID Tags" function to edit or place ID tags in your MP3 or WMA audio files.

    • Option to search the "Amazon" cover art data base (on-line) for cover art that is available for the audio file. If found will give you the option to add as a ID tag via a click.

    • Option to drag and drop a cover art image you want embedded as a ID tag. This function is included so that you can use any image you might want. Do an "image web search" and find whatever image you might want to embed.

    • Option to search an on-line data base for the lyrics to the audio file. Click the "Search on-line for Lyrics" button and let it do it's thing. If it finds the lyrics it will give you the option to edit and/ or add as an ID tag - all via a click.

    • If the software does not find the lyrics text - you can do a web search and most likely find it via the many "Lyric Search" web sites - then merely copy and paste them into the software's "Lyrics ID text field". We have a web page that you might find handy here...

    • Options to play, rename, move or delete any audio file listed.

KISS Batch ID Tagger:

Having ID tags embedded within your MP3,OGG, WMA or FLAC audio files just makes playing and managing your audio files more efficient and pleasant. This software has several advanced features that will make this task a lot easier - they are:

  • Use the "Set ID Tags to Selected" function to edit or place ID tags in your selected MP3 or WMA audio files.

  • Use the "Set ID Tags to All (Batch Mode)" function to edit or place ID tags in all files loaded within the list-box. This is a GREAT time saver!

  • Option to drag and drop a cover art image you want embedded as a ID tag (OGG format does not support adding 'coverart').

  • Option to play any audio file listed/ selected in case you might need to identity the file title or whatever (or just for the heck of it;-)

  • Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready

The "CD Tools"...

The "Specialized Recorder Tools"...

Master Recorder:

Features:

  • Easy to use interface - gets you started recording in just seconds.

  • Records from any input source your sound card allows as well as anything you can hear - no need for "Stereo Mix" or "WhatUHear" soundcard option.

    • Most all audio recorders rely on your systems' soundcard having the option to set, as the record source, to 'stereo mix' or 'what-u-hear' if you want to record streaming audio (i.e. the sound from *Youtube videos, etc.) As you know - most Wins 7 and 8 systems no longer offer this option; therefore, you have been locked out of recording sounds coming out of your speakers (streaming audio off the iNet). This advanced recorder requires absolutely NO such abilities of the sound card as well as no special drivers you have to deal with - IT JUST WORKS!

  • Records/ encodes in 'real time' for as long as you want - no temp files.

  • Supports a number of recording file formats and sample rates - including wav, mp3, wma, flac, ogg and many more.

  • Uses advanced technology (WASAPI).

  • Compatible with Windows Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit): Wins 10 ready.

Overdub Recorder and Mixer:

This is a specialized, high-tech, audio mixer tool that makes mixing or overdubbing audio files easy as pie!

While it's true that you can beat your head against the wall to mix files with an audio editor: this software just makes mixing audio files much easier and is a pleasure to work with.

Just some of the features:
* Cut and paste sounds ( MP3s, WMAs, WAVs) quickly and easy! Includes 2 independent audio editors.
* Each editor has the ability to record from any source your sound-card allows.
* Mix, record or overdub WAV and WMA & MP3 files as you will.
* Each deck/ editor has slider controls that allow you to set the temp and/ or pitch in real time (as the file is playing). Option to save these effects into the file if "Saved As".
* Has options to apply many effects to any file loaded within any of the editors (i.e. fade in/ out, normalize, amplify volume and much more...)
* Export mix as a single WAV, MP3 or OGG file.
* Use it for just an audio editor if you want - it does a good job of that too!
* There's just all kinds of mixing "trickery" you can perform with this software: mix'em up any way you want with other advanced features it offers.

Just some of what this "Super Mixer" can do for you:
* Load a master file into any of the editor "decks" then play that "deck" as you record in the editor/ deck. After you created your "overdub" recording - elect to mix into the master file. It's easy - it's fun! You can sing along with the best bands in the world: as the song goes "We all just want to be big rock stars..." and with this software you might just make the cut!
* Be creative and mix up your favorite tunes then burn to an audio CD or publish on the iNet.
* I could go on forever but surly you get the point? If not, then it's just not your "thing" I guess;-(

Some 'tips and tricks':

* Supports large files
* Use the Undo and Redo functions to get your mix just right. This allows you to experiment with different mixing possibilities without starting all over again.

Recordster:

A Powerful audio recorder and player that will record from any input source your system supports - offers many advanced options that can be applied.

Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready

Shoutcast Recorder:

What-U-Hear Track Recorder:

Do you rush right off to Wal-Mart, or use one of the 99 cent Music Download sites, to obtain the latest (or even oldies) tunes released?

While most of us are very leery to use any of the "peer to peer" music download software applications - knowing full well that it is illegal to download copyrighted music (not to mention that some contain embedded viruses) - did you know that recording music is considered "fair use", and as of this date, 100% *legal?

Think of all the money you could save (a penny saved is a penny earned) by putting in just a small amount of effort to obtain most any music you wanted at absolutely no cost. How much would you save, in say, a year? Instead of investing $.99 per tune - use approx. 5 minutes of your time to obtain the same result (a quality digital copy of the music you want).

Features that you're sure to like:

  • Most all audio recorders rely on your systems' soundcard having the option to set, as the record source, to 'stereo mix' or 'what-u-hear' if you want to record streaming audio (i.e. the sound from *Youtube videos, etc.) As you know - most Wins 7 and 8 systems no longer offer this option; therefore, you have been locked out of recording sounds coming out of your speakers (streaming audio off the iNet). This advanced recorder requires absolutely NO such abilities of the sound card as well as no special drivers you have to deal with - IT JUST WORKS!

  •  Designed under the "KISS" theory - keeping it simple, but yet innovative and easy to use, was our main design goal.

  • This software is designed to split a recording track at any time you click the 'Split Now!' button OR just act as a normal 'what-u-hear recorder' (Start/ Stop).

  • It automatically records using a date/ time format as the file name; however, after you either elect to 'Split' or 'Stop' the recording session - it will rename the file name to the text you have entered in the 'Title' ID Tag text field (if you have set the Check Box to positive).

  • The software will also set the ID tags after the recording is finished (again - if the Check Box is set to positive and text is entered into the ID Tag text fields).

  • Records to what ever audio format and sample rate you have selected (i.e WAV, MP3, OGG or WMA, etc.): the recordings are better quality then using the "stereo mix" function of your sound-card (if you happen to have this option) as it uses advanced technology (WASAPI).

  • Compatible with Windows Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready

* Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer but it is my understanding that recording audio (or video) off the iNet, from sources such as Youtube, is legal as long as it is for your own use.

The "Conversion Tools"...

Audio Format Converter:

Allows you to batch perform conversion most any combination of audio format files - to most any audio sample rate and/ or format.

General Usage:

  • Select the files (or folder of files) to have functions performed to. They will be added to the "files" list view.

  • Set the "Target Path" for the transformed files to reside. This software does NOT corrupt or change the original files - they are left intact.

  • Set the format and sample rate for the transformed files.

  • Set the options wanted (i.e. Normalize, Keep ID tags, Remove DC Offset)

  • Click the "GO" button then get yourself a cup of coffee - your files will be transformed in no time all residing within the set "target folder".

  • *DISCLAIMER: this software (due to Windows limitation) will only transform approx. 100 files at a time. Be very careful that when adding files they actually do get added into the list-box otherwise they will not be transformed.

  • Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready

Audio Watermarker:

Batch EQer:

Transforms WAV, MP3, OGG, or WMA audio files to their "equalized" state: transform 1 or 100's at a time in batch mode!

This is NOT a EQ recorder but rather a EQ transformer - a faster method then you've ever seen before.

You probably have several equalizers built into your music players. But all they do is equalize the sound while you play a track. They can't EQ 100 tracks at a time for you. They don't create a new track that you can burn to CD or use as an MP3 file that's already equalized the way you want it wherever you go. So in short, other EQs equalize while you listen ONLY. This software creates all new files, 100 at a time if you like, to take with you and listen to anywhere you are and any time you like.

With other EQs, you have to constantly change your EQ settings each time you play a song or in each location that you listen, to get the full impact. Plus most of them don't have enough bands needed for professional equalizing. This is the only EQ of its kind that we know of.

If you're past 50 - most likely your high frequency hearing is getting worse. When you're young you can likely hear 20,000hz perfectly: 30, most likely hearing 16,000hz is probably down 3 to 5 db: 50 or over, your high frequency hearing is most likely much worse. With "Batch EQer" you can now boost the sound spectrum that you've been missing to as many files as you want - all at once in "batch" mode!

Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready

Batch Transformer:

We call this software "aBatch Transformer" but you can call it...

  • a batch + or - Amplifier

  • a batch Equalizer effect transformer

  • a batch Fade function applier

  • a batch Normalizer

  • a batch Pitch Shifter

  • a batch Hiss remover

  • a batch Clicks & Pops remover

  • a batch Silence remover

  • a batch apply Reverb program

  • a batch Change Tempo app

  • a batch Vocal Reducer thingy

  • an Audio Filter applier (Band, High and/ or Low Pass)

  • a Background sound mixer

  • a batch ID tagger

  • a CD ripper

  • a batch Audio Format converter

  • a batch Audio Editor

  • a "I can't believe how much time this software saves me!" program

Cuz, this software will do all that and more! Apply as many supported effects (or functions) as you want - it will perform all of them in 'one whack'. Leaves your original files intact - creates new ones to your selected target folder.

Supports input of mp3, mp2, wav, ogg, wma, wmv, asx, asf, m4a, mp4, aac, ac3, aif, w64, voc, paf, pvf, caf, svx, s3m, mod, mtm, mo3 and cda (CD Tracks). Supports output to WAV, MP3, OGG and WMA audio formats.

Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready

MP3 Normalizer:

Tired of reaching for your volume knob every time your mp3 player changes to a new song? This software analyzes and adjusts mp3 files so that they have the same volume.

Analyzes mp3 files to determine how loud they sound to the human ear. It can then adjust the mp3 files so that they all have the same loudness without any quality loss. This way, you don't have to keep reaching for the volume dial on your mp3 player every time it switches to a new song.

Operates in two modes, Track and Album:

Track mode volume-corrects a mix of unrelated songs to a selected level. Calculates the volume level for each song individually. It then corrects each song to make its volume level match the Target Volume.
For example, if you have 3 songs that have volume levels of 86, 91 and 89 dB and you use Track Gain to convert them to a Target Volume of 92 dB, they will all be at approximately 92 dB.

Album mode volume-corrects a collection of related songs (as they would appear on a CD, or "album") relative to other collections of songs. Applying Album gain is like adjusting the volume knob once for each CD you put in your CD player. The overall volume of the album is adjusted to the Target Volume, but the volume differences between the mp3s in the album are preserved.
For example, if you have 3 songs that have volume levels of 86, 91 and 89 dB, then the overall volume of this "album" will probably be around 89 dB. If the Target Volume is set to 92 dB, then when you apply Album Gain MP3Gain will increase the volume of each of these songs by +3 dB.

With Album mode, you want some songs to be noticeably quieter than other songs, just like they are on an album. If you're playing a classical CD, you expect the track with the flute solo to be quieter than the track with the big full-orchestra finale. Album mode allows you to correct an entire album while keeping each song's volume level relative to the other songs.

Most programs that "normalize" sound files do so by adjusting all the samples so that the loudest single sample is at some specified value - using a "normalize effect". This is not a good way to make all the files actually have the same loudness. First of all, this method will most likely distort the quality of some of the files. Secondly, the human ear does not hear the loudness of single samples. It averages out sounds over time. Lastly, today's popular music CDs are heavily compressed. The sound engineers making the CD raise the average level so that it sounds much louder, while compressing the loudest parts so that they don't distort.

Lossless Gain Adjustment:

The bad news: This software can only adjust the volume of your mp3 files in steps of 1.5 dB.

The good news: 1.5 dB is a small enough step for most practical purposes. Most humans can just barely hear a volume change of 1 dB.

Some other good news is that this volume adjustment is completely lossless. In other words, if you adjust an mp3 by -6 dB and then if you change your mind, you can adjust it again by +6 dB and it will be exactly the same as it was before you made the first adjustment.

This app has it's own, included, set of help files.

Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready

  • Option to "speak" only the selected portion of the text. This saves you time by only hearing/ reviewing the section of text you are working on instead of the complete text field content.

  • Option to either load a text file into the application, merely input the text or paste the Windows clipboard content you want to convert to audio - into the text field.

  • Get any of the supported FREE text 2 speech engines directly from Microsoft or our text 2 speech support page. The software will recognize any of these installed voices/ engines which makes them free to use within the software! (i.e. install the Spanish engine then input a text file or text that uses Spanish as the language - convert the Spanish text to audio, etc...)

Vocal Reducer:

Removing vocals from an audio track has long been the desire of musicians and remixers in order to obtain the instrumental version of a song, otherwise available only as a complete mix. The sections below explain how this task can be accomplished and some of the problems that can get in the way.

Is Removing Vocals Possible?
Yes and no. Unfortunately, there is no simple answer because it depends on many factors including what instruments and sound elements make up the non-vocal part of the audio signal and how these and the vocals have been processed and mixed into the final recording.

In most cases, you can not expect to get results that are acceptable for professional use. However, in some cases, it is possible to render reasonable output useful in many, non-professional, scenarios. And, once in awhile, it is even possible to get excellent results.

Automatic Approach
A few software programs (including this "Audio Vocal Reducer" software app) are capable of removing vocals from a stereo audio file automatically, eliminating the hassle of the multi-step manual procedure described in the following section.

  1. Open the stereo audio file in an audio editor.

  2. Select and reverse the phase of the left channel (also called Invert or Flip). This option is usually presented in the Edit menu.

  3. Mix both the left and right channels of the stereo file into a single-channel (mono) audio file. This option is also usually found in the Edit menu, but is sometimes accomplished by editing the file's format properties from the File menu.

  4. Split the single-channel audio file back into a stereo file that has the newly mixed single-channel on both the left and right channels. This procedure is usually close to the one used to mix the channels.

  5. Now reverse the phase of the left channel back again, the same way it was accomplished earlier.

The resulting stereo audio file should now contain the same mix with all center-mixed audio cancelled from the mix. Hopefully, the entire instrumental contents will still exist, while the vocals will be canceled, or at least much more quite.

This method of removing vocals can be accomplished fairly easily, but depends greatly on how the entire mix was recorded. This method works when all or most of the non-vocal audio is mixed in stereo (some more to the left and some to the right) and the vocals are mixed in the center. Fortunately, this is common practice in popular music, making it a fairly reasonable method for many songs.

Problems Removing Vocals
Due to the complexity of many music and audio tracks, removing vocals using the method described above may result in poor or useless results. For example, when many of the background elements are also mixed in the center of the stereo spectrum and overlap or share the same frequency range with the vocals, the method above will produce distorted results that have lost much more than just vocals.

Additionally, effects, such as echo and reverb are often applied to vocals before they are recorded to the final mix. Unlike the commonly centered vocals, these effects tend not to be centered, making them difficult to remove. Also, the effects can distort and alter the vocals in ways that result in audio outside the normal vocal frequency range, making it difficult to "EQ out".

With some trial and error, you'll develop an ear for determining which audio tracks contain vocals that can be reduced or completely removed;-)

VOX Format Converter:

Have you ever noticed how pesky those vox files are? Well.. convert them to an other format.

Not many audio apps support vox files - this one does.

Beat Detector:

Audio Beat Detector is a handy and reliable utility designed to detect Beats Per Minute. It acts as a BPM counter.

Audio Beat Detector provides a very simple interface that allows you to add the music file to be processed. It features a real-time beat monitor, as well as a batch BPM recorder.

Use to make audio playlists of tunes that are of the more or less same tempo (BPM) - use for mode enhancement or information a professional DJ might want.

Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready

Tonester Plus:

This software turns your PC into a full function professional tone generator and gives you the power to validate, test and tune your audio systems. You can simply play the tones for testing or record them in groups and burn them to CDs for testing away from your computer.

Just some of the things you can use this software for:

  • tuning instruments
  • science experiments (what’s the resonant frequency of this wineglass?)
  • testing audio equipment (how low does my subwoofer go?)
  • testing your audio speakers or headphones - what’s the lowest and highest frequency they (right, left or both) can output?
  • testing your hearing - what’s the lowest and highest frequency you can hear?
  • what are there frequencies you can hear in only one ear?
  • Tinnitus frequency matching - if you have pure-tone tinnitus, this frequency generator can help you determine its frequency.

Knowing your tinnitus frequency can enable you to better target masking sounds and frequency discrimination training.

When you find a frequency that seems to match your tinnitus, make sure you check frequencies one octave higher (frequency × 2) and one octave lower (frequency × ½), as it is easy to confuse tones that are one octave apart.

While this software can be of help testing your hearing, we at Code-it Software, need to warn you that you should NOT play, especially high frequencies, with the system sound volume cranked up. It's only common sense that it may damage your hearing - we can take no responsibly for your use, or mis-use, of this software!

The human hearing range is between 20 to 20,000 Hz. There is considerable variation in the hearing range between individuals. Most young people can hear up to 18,000 Hz. Our ability to hear high frequencies declines with age. By the age of 55 some men can't hear above 5,000 Hz and some women can’t hear above 12,000 Hz. Women tend to have better hearing than men at high frequencies.

The speaking voice of a man has a fundamental frequency between 85 to 180 Hz, and a woman between 165 to 255 Hz.

We hear low frequencies less well than high frequencies. Frequencies below 30 Hz are hard to distinguish. Lower frequencies produce more of sense of ‘feeling’ than a sense of sound. Low frequency sounds are heard mainly through bone conduction.

Sound intensity is quite different for different frequencies. High pitched sounds will seem louder than low pitched sounds of the same intensity. A 30 Hz sound has to be louder than 60 dB to be heard (60 dB is the sound level of normal conversation).

Wave Maker:

WOW! This cool tool is really going to be hard to explain! It will create and play (as well as record) any formula that you set it to. Options to apply echo, repeat "x" amount of times, loop play, set other parameters. You can create sounds then record/ save them to add as an effect or whatever use you might find. Just a cool tool to play around with as well as, I suppose, there would be some serious use for it too!

Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32 and 64-bit versions) plus Windows 10 Ready
